Part-1: My First Walk... in the Park...!!
If my memory serves right, I think I started walking (as an EXERCISE...!!) around 3 years back (early 2013) at the beautiful LALBAGH BOTANICAL GARDENS, a few minutes by walk from my home.
If my memory serves right, I think I started walking (as an EXERCISE...!!) around 3 years back (early 2013) at the beautiful LALBAGH BOTANICAL GARDENS, a few minutes by walk from my home.
I was inspired by the wonderful snaps of nature taken by my friend during his walks which he used to post everyday during his check-in online on Instagram. The refreshing morning breeze at 07:00 AM caressing my hair especially next to the picturesque LALBAGH LAKE would be the best start of the day :)

The ever young enthusiastic and smiling people of my City- the hunky guys, the slim chicks, the golden oldies, the silent runners and speedy joggers..you could see them all. People wouldn't come here just to exercise, it was also a serene place for leisure walks, pleasure talks, chit-chatting friends, gossiping women (no offense ladies), if not anything else, but only to exchange day-to-day happenings of their lives..

The cool winds by the waterside, the pelicans, geese and swans on its banks, the hordes of pigeons, the enchanting lotus pond full of rose pink colored blooms, the countless number of behemoth trees, plants of each and every kind with flowers, fruits and vegetables.. the expansive lawns, the benches, the hillock, the Kempegowda Tower on the small mountain, the statue of Kempegowda riding a horse with a sword..the small temples.. its almost like Bengaluru's very own local Eden Garden!!!
Part-4: What it meant to me..
Coming to my personal experience, the morning walks make my day. Literally. Even though it's difficult to get out of my cozy bed in the early hours, once I am up and about, I feel like I am going to have the best day of my life. The positive energy and optimism that springs the moment I set out on my foot with the Nike running app turned on my smartphone {which actually counts how many kilometers I have covered and approximately how many calories I have burnt!!! ;)} and not to forget, my awesome iPod, without which my walks feel inadequate and incomplete (it's my partner!), my favorite music ringing thru' the earphones, tempting me to sing along and aloud, makes me feel carefree and sail amidst the clouds. Its as though there is nothing and no one that can stop you from feeling on top of the world! Now, is there any better way to begin the day with a big smile on my face?! Nah, for me, definitely no. :D
